Hi all,
Noticed today on the sprint website that the s3 is listed as spark compatible. Digging through their website I've found a troubleshoot page for both a non-compatible and a spark enabled. Are these really different phones? Or has a recent update allowed for this? Or am I just super out of the loop because I don't really update anything on my phone being on slim? I can't imagine sprint releasing new hardware on a 2 year old phone. Thanks everyone.

In more detail cuz i know you will understand it,

Sprint Spark combines 4G FDD-LTE at 800 Megahertz (MHz) and 1.9 Gigahertz (GHz) and TDD-LTE at 2.5GHz spectrum.. Sprint Spark’s spectrum assets, technology and architecture are designed to deliver a seamless customer experience via tri-band wireless devices. Tri-band devices, named for their ability to accommodate multiple spectrum bands, support active hand-off mode between 800MHz, 1.9GHz and 2.5GHz, providing data session continuity as the device moves between spectrum band

It can attain speeds of 60-80mbps i believe. BUT it CANNOT use data while on a voice call at the moment. Its limited to like 23 or so select areas right now. Google can tell you what cities have spark.

Since boost in all actuality.is sprint, i wonder if you can take advantage of spark with a sprint s3 that has spark enabled. Is boost' data truely unlimited? Or is it throttled after like 2.5Gigz?

well since i work with Boost Mobile; the plans work like this, one of the promo plans right now being $35 a month unlimited talk, text and data but only 1GB of actual 3G/4G LTE speeds......so if you finish the 1GB you will still have data just at "2G" speeds the same can be said for the other plans they offer like the promo $55 plan that offers 10GB....and the TDD-LTE speeds are offered in the latest S3 from Boost....it came out in May of this year the model being SPH-L710T

Ah i see. I hover around 15-20Gb of data a month. Yes i admit i download or stream movies to my phone then beam em to flat screen. Its just tooo convienient and easy. And the other phone on my account, how she manages 30-40gigs of data with facebook, twitter and youtube i dont know. Smartphones send females into a frenzie with there always avalible social media right at their palm. Those guys hit the jackpot.

there is a trick to stop boost from seeing how much data you use i have tested a method shared a while back on Wicked X i believe it was supposed to work on virgin but it also worked on boost. They could only see when i used WiFi to go on Facebook and what not but they couldn't tell when i used my actual data :) so to them i still had 5GB of 4GLTE and never cut me off to the lower speeds :) and lol pretty much
