[Q] Speaker Hack for Car Dock?

When making a call with the car dock I don't want it by default to use the speaker. Obviously it's using the audio out of the USB cable... I'm not sure if the phone knows that it's the audio out (I don't think it's treated like a headphone jack cause things don't pause), and I am wondering if theres a way to make it default to audio jack. I hate being distracted trying to turn off the speaker so it goes through my car speakers.

What about using the actual headphone jack? I haven't tried it, but I just though about it. Although, it would mean having to have a longer audio cable for some of us. Just a thought.

Yea... I just like using the built in cable. Seems kinda dumb to not have this feature.

This seems to be the dialer though. I wonder how it knows to trigger the speaker.

OP. You figure anything out for this yet? I am having the same issue with my car dock. I am thinking of purchasing the bluetooth module for my car stereo....if there is no other way.

No, I haven't unfortunately. Perhaps a different dialer would change things?
