Just bought the Moto X and found out that it won't be compatible with SPARK once it is rolled out. Now I don't want to debate how reliable Sprint is when they say they are going to roll out new service... we all know how that goes. My question is whether other people have debated switching to the Nexus 5 or something similar that will support Tri-Band just because of that reason.

Nope, this phone is too amazing. Their 4G speed on 1900 is fine for me. I would love spark, but it is too limited and is broken in our area anyways.

This and when Sprint would have Spark in my area the 3rd generation MotoX will be out. Ya that wasn't a typo, 3rd. You may call me looney but this is Sprint we are talking about.

Sprint has a history of selling phones for a nonexistant network with each recent jump in technology (wimax, LTE, now spark). The Sprint Spark phones do not work properly in all areas yet and will often not pick up a 4g signal at all if you are not in an official network vision market. As Sprint would say "We are updating the towers" There is a lot more info at s4gru
