I'm using cm 7. The vvm apk installed fine. Tried fixing permission but no change. Do I need to push it to system/app and reboot instead?

If I remember correctly what you will have to do is load it up in GingerSense rom, and to a Titanium Backup of the VVM, then run the .apk on CM7, and use restore your backup'd data from TB, at least that is how we were getting the other versions to install and work, now as far as the 9016 messages
, the only true fix is to install the Stock (from Sprint) MMS.apk by overwriting the cm7 one in /system/app which has a built in block for the messages (you can block them other ways, but I'm usually looking for a fix not a workaround). The only issue here is I was not able to see my stock messaging app after doing this, so possible doing the same sort of Titanium backup procedure might get it working, if you can get a copy of the leak GingerSense, there is a dumped version, which you can get all the files from, and i noticed that there is mms.xml file that most likely goes with the mms.apk, so maybe just finding the correct directories to copy these files would be the ultimate solution...

5.1.0.60 is from the GingerSense Leaked ROMWhen did you root? 5.1.0.48 came out in November I believe and that is the only version I have seen since. Even the one that was just posted above is 5.1.0.48. I tried updating via a restore of a Fresh rom that I keep to update my PRL but it said there where no updates available. Updating doesn't work on CM at all. A search via google has only one mention of a 60 build in any of the results (which was this thread) and I went through 20 pages of results..
Well since you have build 60 it may show up in the near future..
Hey guys since I went with the CM7 rom I lost my voicemail. How can I get it back?

I used root uninstaller to back up the vvm apk after I rooted then just installed it after I flashed cm7 works fine even still doing the trial voice to text still. I have the apk if anyone wants it.

Thanks for the idea, but in the mean time I was able to fix my problem by simply uninstalling and reinstalling using a slightly different method. Cheers..
Is it possible to have the VVM app at a downloadable location so that people can download it instead of putting their email addresses out there?

I'm not telling anyone what to do, but posting your email address on a public forum is a sure way to fill up that mailbox with spam. Hopefully this will help people avoid that.
I have never gotten (.60) to work with any version of CM7. I still use (.48) and that works fine. Since 48 does everything I need, getting 60 to work is just not worth the effort for me. Won't flash, won't install via apk. I give it a shot every now and then after installing a cm7 nightly but the result has always been the same... failure...
