For argument's sake I'll assume you've rooted your TF (a requirement for using the TUN module which I think SSL VPNs need). [EDIT]: Didn't see your sig before, now I know you've rooted your TF 
. My VPN provider supports SSL connections via OpenVPN which I've used before on my phone without issues, but so far I've not been able to get it working on my TF with the PRIME! v1.5 ROM. Give it a try if your TF is rooted and see what happens.

OpenVPN is SSL, it just be default uses a different port. 1193 from memory.
I can configure SSL VPN on my firewall and use OpenVPN to connect to it.
Requires that you have a working set of OpenVPN config files of course.
