Hello there,
I find the stock keyboard pretty lousy, especially compared with my Galaxy Nexus.
- Many times the S3 suggests words starting with a dot (.). I wonder why.
- Most of the time I have to type a word until the last letter before the S3 "predicts" the word--usually Galaxy Nexus gets it right after just three letters.
- Finally, when I make a typo, rarely it corrects to the intended word; again Galaxy Nexus almost always gets the intended word right.
Do both phones have different prediction engines? Why would Samsung put a visibly less useful engine in the S3? Or do I do something wrong?
