[Q] Streak 7 WiFi issue

Starting yesterday, I began having an issue with WiFi on my Streak 7. WiFi is showing as connected, and I can retrieve email, but when I try and access the Google Play store, the Amazon App store, Google+ or Facebook, I get a connection problem error.

Any one have a similar problem and/or know how to fix it. I have cleared caches (in recovery), Cleared app data, and restored a backup and the problem has not been resoved.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

my wife has a dell streak 7 and she just started having this problem. she is completly stock. i compared the ip address in the wifi connection and hers is connecting with the wrong ip address compared to my 7plus. the ip addy on my 7 plus is ###.###.#.9 hers is comming up ###.###.#.10. we are connected to the same router. the only thing she has done lately is went to new york city and connected to some free wifi's out there. how do i change the ip address on her streak..

No two devices can have the same IP address it cannot work. The reason for this is that the IP is who she is on the internet and it changes when connecting to different routers. Try resetting your router first and rebooting the device.

yep thought of the ip addy being the same. tried resetting the router, didnt work. had to do a factory reset on the streak and everything works again. thank god she doesnt have all the apps i do, it would take days to set it up.

You should root the tablet, put a custom recovery on it and back the apps up with titanium backup to the external sd card so it is easier to restore. Saves a ton of time and keeps all the data to the apps.
