[Q] Sudden & huge battery drain

Hi,

I have a 16 month old XE and recently I rooted it, but still on stock ROM ICS 4.0.3 and stock battery.

Since last few days, battery drain has increased 10 folds. Also, it is taking a lot longer, almost 5-6 hours to fully charge the battery.

Today 6:00am in the morning it was at 100% and after about 2.5 hours it reached 34% without the phone being used at all.

I used an app called "Wake Lock Detector" and the results are in attached png files.

As per WLD, the process "AudioOut_3" ( 1013 System(Media) ) is hogging the CPU time and keeping it awake.

What is this process and how to stop this?
