[Q] [Swype] Cannot update using Swype Connect

I installed Swype 3.26.92D.35381.t0 using the Swype Beta Installer onto my Captivate running teamhacksung's ICS Port (Build 3). This works fine.

I get a message through Swype Connect that a new version, 3.26.92.36178, is available (announcement on forum here), but the download does not seem to start. The progress bar remains unchanged, and it never installs.

I've tried uninstalling Swype and reinstalling, and also wiped data/cache/dalvik (to update to Build 3 of the ICS ROM), and still doesn't update.

I'd really like to update, as the new update includes Japanese. I was able to find the APK for the All Regions version, but ironically only the Pan-Asia/South East Asia build has the Japanese option included.

Any help would be appreciated, either a solution to fix it myself or providing an APK of the Pan-Asia/South East Asia build.

Same problem on my HTC wildfire, after the update message from Swype Connect (version 2.0v) I started the Swype update (from version 3.26.92D.35432.t0) but after hours it's still there, the notification string now is "Download completato... Verifica in corso" (something like "download completed... test in progress") but the progress bar is does not move from 1/3.

Seemingly there is no fair way to stop this update (only uninstall Swype), anyway the swype still work correctly during this (locked?) update and does not seems to drain more power.

I tried to uninstall Swype and install it again with Swype installer but I have the same situation after the first update notification.

I'm using Swype Western Europe.
