When I first fired up the tablet, I got the Android 4.4.2 system update message. Then about 80% along with that download, I got the push message about the NVidia Shield OTA update.
Ever since the tablet restarted when I upgraded to 4.4.2, the Shield Tablet OTA notification hasn't displayed since. I've gone to About Tablet > System Update, but there is no pending update.
My current build number is: KOT49H.20258_426.6902
I'm not sure whether the two are separate or connected, or whether the system update happens first then the Shield update.
Coming from Nexus, I assume the 4.4.2 update is the primary update, then the "Shield Software Update" is the vendor-specific patch that Nvidia release outside the major system update.
Is my understanding correct?
