[Q] Terribly slow usb transfer speeds on CM7

I am running cm7 with the newest radio and everything up to date. It is just running perfectly but i am trying to load 1.7 gigs of music on to my sd card and it is going terribly slow 128 kb/s. estimated 4+ hours to move these few songs over. Wasnt having this problem before with ARHD 3.6.1 is this a known bug with a known fix?
