[Q] thermometer and hygrometer

i bought an s4 active on ebay, about a month ago, i root it, with the active root app, and today i noticed that the hygrometer and thermometer doesn work, the barometer works. is this a firmware/software issue, or the sensors are broken?

It is small enough that fit in my keychain and serve my purpose - I am religious on checking temperature / weather.
