Guys I live in dangerous country :) and I would like to have some security issue implemented directly in custom ROM which can not be uninstalled and which will be as persist as possible but can be updated. First think which thief should do if he stole mobile is factory reset. And if application will be installed later (not directly with ROM), than this app will be deleted during reset, so it can't be used for finding of mobile.

Yes, I know, if thief can use google it will not help, but for lazy thieves it can help :)

Do you thing that is possible implement this?
And have somebody tip for this application?

And if this aplication will be in ROM does it recovery itself on factory reset? If so, then this is the way. I just need configure app and add this into ROM.

Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA App

Try WaveSecure, not free but check their website for instructions on how to install it so it persists a factory reset.

Unless the thief is a dumb thief, the first thing he's gonna do with your phone is flashing the original rom. Given this fact, any protection you can think of is doomed to fail.

Yes, some people will do that, but not all. I don't underestimate thieves, but not all are technical enough. But almost everybody will reset phone into factory defaults. If application will not expose itself too much and firmware will be looks like original-one, there is possibility to easy tracking of this phone.

This issue is for increase chance to find my phone, not way how to do that impossible to delete!
