[Q] Towelroot and recovery

Did anybody tried rooting using towelroot form geohot??
also did anyone try the safetrap recovery used in the s5?

I tried a couple days ago and it didn't work. Which is exactly what I expected but I wanted to try.

It is theoretically possible to make towel root run* on the Note 4. This does not mean it will work. If someone wanted too they could dpkg the towelroot.apk and change the scripting to enable the root exploit on the Note 4 if it is in there. The other option would be to dpkg it and pull the binary, and then use adb to run the binary on the phone. If I remember correctly he used libexploit.so to run.

i wonder has anyone tried editing the machine code or editing it at all?

They patched the exploit used for 4.4.2 in our current 4.4.4 version. Even if you can get it to run, like I have, it will either FC or do nothing at all.

I'm pretty sure the exploit towelroot used was blocked sometime in June. Everything says it should work on most phones with kernels older than june 4th, so I just assumed kernels after that were unfortunately fixed.
