Hi.

I am trying to prepare my Xoom for the 4G upgrade, and I've backed everything up using TitaniumBackup, but am now stuck attempting a factory reset.

I can boot into CWM (3.2.0.0 (R4c)), but I can't perform the factory reset. It is unable to mount /cache. Or /system, /sdcard, /data.

Is there anything else I can do to reset this thing?

I'm running Tiamat Hammerhead.

Thanks,
John

This sounds simplistic, but make certain you flash the correct stock images for your exact device, especially if you plan to relock.
Well it is a pretty simple process, Motorola even shows you the commands to use on their website... But, yeah, use the correct images for your device. :)

You can get them from: http://developer.motorola.com/produ...utm_source=supportforums&utm_term=unlockboard

Requires the USB drivers to be installed and the Android SDK Platform Tools for Fastboot. But it's guaranteed factory when you're done.

One additional quick detail: If you are just trying to do a "data wipe/factory reset" you may need a MicroSD card in the slot. Mine would not wipe until I put one in. Just a little 2GB was all I used and then it wiped happily! Don't really know why it needed it, but hey. Quick, easy fix.

Thanks. Downloading the HRI66 now (MZ600 - XOOM with Wi-Fi + Verizon 3G).

39 or 66 should work for me, correct? I don't see any difference listed.

thanks,
john

Hmmm. Didn't try that. Tried without an SD card. Then flashed the latest CWM, them removed the SD card and tried the factory reset again.

Maybe I'll try putting the SD card back in and wiping before reverting to stock.
