Hello,
I bought an used TF701t wich came with the 4.4.2 FW.
I update it with the last stock firmware on the asus site.
I tried to unlock the bootloader, but unfortunately.
I tried with factory reset, without google account... nothing.
I tired also to contact asus, but they don't want to help me maybe because the device is too old.

Can someone please help me?

Thank you

I had the same issue with a new to me TF700t and the problem was the unlock file, from the Asus website was not the correct one. A user on here provided me with the correct unlock tool and it unlocked on the 1st attempt. Give it a few days, let people see the thread so someone with a working file can upload it.

Thank you :good:

Here is one. Give it a go, but there could be many reasons the process does not work. E.g. who knows if the Asus server delivering the unlock token is still active... Nobody knows and the app won't tell you why it fails.
So keep trying during different times of day and make sure you have an Internet connection and no Google account! Good luck

Thank you berndblb!

I have the good one now, an thats a good thing!
Because i have downloaded many versions, but i wasn't sure that was the good one.

I tried, and in fact, it not work. With or without Google account... nothing.
Do you think that i must reset the tablet before?
I had to try but i've made it already 3 times in one week...

I was thinking the same about the availabilty of the server.
I've sent a email to asus to ask them if the application is still working.
I'm waiting for their response.

Wait and see.

Sorry man, there is nothing but: Keep trying..
You can try a factory reset but I don't see why that should make a difference.

Has anyone recently succeeded to unlock the bootloader with the tool? If so, how? I'm trying for 6 months now without any success.
Even contacted ASUS on the issue, but they "do not provide assistance on unlocking a bootloader".

Are you using the file from the Asus site? If you are try the one found here. - NP

Thanks for your quick reply. Yes, that's the version I am using. I also tried the following: downgraded to the oldest firmware, unlock, upgrade to the next firmware, unlock etc.
But it didn't help. The unlock tool keeps showing "Device unlocked", but apparently this is not the case. Flashing anything with fastboot results in "Bootloader is locked". No google account was set up in any case.

The issue was discussed in this thread and it was solved by "keep trying" https://forum.xda-developers.com/transformer-tf701/help/device-unlocked-bootloader-locked-t3676163 , however I am losing hope already...

Any help is greatly appreciated.

You cannot downgrade firmware on stock - how did you do that?
The firmware version would not make a difference anyway. Unfortunately "keep trying" is your only option. If you're below 100 attempts there's no reason to lose hope :silly:
The first thing you see when booting up would be 'The device is unlocked"

Thanks for your reply. After I got tilted because I couldn't unlock the bootloader, I deleted too many system apps on the rooted stock firmware, which resulted in a boot loop and I couldn't fix that with a factory reset. So I tried this method https://forum.xda-developers.com/tr...f701t-nvflash-unbrick-solutiontested-t3742848 It lets you flash the oldest firmware again.

I'm way beyond 100 attempts now, but I'll let you know as soon as I succeeded :fingers-crossed:
