[Q] unable to update my OS

Hi,

Just got an old Lumia 820 as a replacement for my HTC HD7. My phone is sim free Nokia Philippines. Then upon check for updates, it always says I have the latest: 8.0.10211.204

Either this phone has a problem or we're just reaaaally late on updates. I checked on /ph-en website of nokia and it says they already have the black update for 820.

Can anyone help me please? Thanks!

I dont think u can get any official updates from nokia. They must have blocked it for a reason. Google it. If u want u can download and update and flash it manually. But since i have never used a windows phone i really dont know anything about flashing them

I found out that my handset was a demo unit. So I won't be able to update my phone. it show "Not for Resale" on boot. Darn I'm outta luck. but uh, yes we can get updates here. On a Regular phone that is.

Yes sir, I bought it. used. Evertyhing else works perfectly. except that it has never been updated. and Can never be. well, for now.

Guys. I got more updates. I was trying to flash my phone so I checked my model at the back of the phone:

Model: 820.1 WTH?
Code: 059MF08
Type: RM-825

I don't know if I should proceed with 059R667 RM-825. I'm downloading it anyway.But please advise thanks!
