Im sure everyone in the UK and likely world are hassled weekly (daily) for PPI and other random junk by automated calls. "Please press 5 and someone will call you back ... "
Unable to develop myself but came here to see if an idea is even possible and if someone could pick up and design an application.

Could an application pick up unknown calls and act like a simple IVR to screen out automated calls? this would reduce mobile call spam for a large majority when blanket unknown blocking isnt appropriate.

Scenario
  1. Phone rings from unknown caller
  2. Application answers with pre recorded message "Unknown caller, please press 32 to be connected"
    • If correct numbers pressed, phone will physically ring
    • Otherwise app ends call

This would only delay unknown calls so friends and family would not be intercepted by app.
