noIs it possible unlock the bootloader on a HDX 7" on 3.2.8?
Then how do people install TWRP? I tried and I get stuck on the gray kindle fire screen.
People install TWRP 2.8.4.0 on supported FW (x.3.0.5 - x.3.2.3) through adb shell or with flashify app. Dont try this on your FW, x.3.2.7 - x.3.2.8 are not supported!!!Then how do people install TWRP? I tried and I get stuck on the gray kindle fire screen.

If you can boot into system then good chance only recovery is hosed. Look in the recovery directory under root for an appropriately named .img file. This is likely a stock recovery and can be restored via adb or flashify. Reach out if you can't find the image or need to verify the MD5.No, TWRP never bricked my device, I can easily go back to system.
