[Q] unlock codes (cellunlock.net seems best bet)

I don't think so. AT&T released the phone, what Feb 22nd? March 22nd? And thier policy was not to unlock until one full year after release on an exclusive phone.
So either AT&T has changed their formal stated policy or some reps are making accidents. Either one would be nice.

I received my Atrix back in late February, and called them a few days later for the unlock code. I was told that it would not be available for six months, so called them back in late August, and was told then that it would be available after August 31. Called them again a few days after that, and was given the code.
Just got my unlock code this morning.. no prob at all. And the Atrix isn't even the phone listed on my account, so they're obviously giving them out freely. I thought I remembered reading something about a sim-unlock messing up the wifi or something but I couldn't find the thread where I saw it. So I'm hesitant to actually unlock it until I really need to. Anyone with issues unlocking?
Then apparently they have formally changed their policy to 6 months from date of release.
And it typical AT&T fashion, instead of telling the customers about this...they'll continue to piss off customers who will spend money on commercial unlock services instead.
If LLBean or 3M started offering cell phone service I'd jump to them right away. At least SOME companies know what "customer service" and "valued lifelong customer" means. No one in the cellco business does, apparently.

Unlocked, then locked again?
If i have android 2.2 at the moment that is SIM unlocked, then update to the official gingerbread from A&T, will my my phone stay SIM unlocked?

i buyed a atrix 4g from ebay,the seller ask it is locket on att but the phone not have the att logo on back.i have tryed several unlock site but no one have the code for unlock my atrix.can anyone give me any idea for unlock this?please help me.thanks

OK GUYS HERES WHAT I DID after being a lil sceptic about cellunlock.net yesterday i try to reach em just to ask some question but i always end up at voice message rec
tried the sales department the customer service and the troubleshooting department same thing happen voice message ... so i found that my brother is an att client so i figure out that if i was gonna give 20 bucks to a stranger company that didnt attend their phones i migth put my bro on att phone to lie a lil bit
so heres what we did i gave him my imei so he called with the history that he bougth and atrix and his flying in days to spain and hes gonna get and international sim to make calls and they totally buy it 3 min later my atrix was unlock im in puerto rico so feel free to call att and ask for the unlock code before paying cellunlock i lost 20 but wth its my brother after all
now rooting and bootloaders unlock is next...

it only was for the past 6 months before August
they wouldnt' give out the codes before August so we had to resort to cellunlock; I did when I got mine around March/April~
ATT will give out codes now; its not cause your brother works at ATT, please for the love of god; read the previous posts

The unlock code you gave me is the same with the code that I got from ebay sellers.. and it is not working since the first time... SO do you think it is the counter unlock probelm? what should i do?

I found the problem lies on baseband radio. Thats why the phone not respond when i input the code. By changing the radio firmware , now the radio respond the code. Now.. it is successfully unlocked.. thank you

Just to let you know I used mobifreedom.net to unlock my atrix on t-mobile uk and the code cost £5 gbp, took 10 minutes to arrive, and worked.
