droid razr unlock code

Hello, I have a Motorola Droid Razr XT912 locked to Verizon and how to unlock this phone ?
I bought a unlock code with its IMEI number and I don't know how to input this code !
:(

Please tell me where you were able to find the unlock code that you purchased. I need to buy one myself for my droid razr. I have a computer repair specialist working on my razr, so far he nor I have had any luck in finding the unlock code. You may contact me at 864-386-2696, or my email is [email protected]. My name is Michael Waters.
Thank you in advance for your help with this issue. Also if you havent figured out how to get your purchased code into your droid razr, I will be more than glad to assist you as soon as my computer guy gets my phone unlocked.
Thanks again, have a good day.:cowboy:

unlocking

The Verizon Razr has no SIM lock and is therefore unlocked by default.
The new ICS leaks enable global use by default with foreign SIMs, no unlock code required.

Same for D4.

I have a question... I hope you can help... i have the motorola xt912 locked to verizon with system version : 6.16.211.XT912.Verizon.en.US, Android version 4.0.4 baseband version CDMA_N_05.11.01P LTEDC_U_09.11.00 and i rooted the phone and also did the NV edit with radiocomm phone edit and added the apn for NET10 it finds gsm network and they are locked... but then says that it didn't find no gsm network and switch to global and the attenna stays with no lock but with no signal i realized when i try to make a call the radio comes up with full signal and drops...then i get that FDN error... Is there any bypass to make this to work... Eventhough i understand that the xt910 is the gsm version of the xt912. But according to my understanding the when updated to ICS the phone is turned to GSM mode as well... if i am mistaken or mixing the info can please be kind to explain if this process is possible.

Thanks,
Kelby

glad to see this comment. but does the data connection need unlocking? i am on a china mobile gsm network on cm10.1 by hashcode. the network works with no data connection. thanks!

You bought a pin unlock...

The sim card in your phone carries your account data. That sim card can be swapped between phones at will and whatever phone you place that card into will use your account.

To prevent people from taking your sim card, you can lock it with a sim pin.

If you input the sim pin incorrectly 3 times it will lock out.

if it locks out you must obtain a code from verizon like you did to unlock it.

The code you got was wasted for you and will do nothing.

Thank you for your time.

So, you just ordered a GSM (t-mobile) card from Straight Talk and popped it in and bingo it works? Not familiar with Straight Talk- do you need to buy new sim every time or put more money toward the original card you purchase? Thanks

I just picked up a Verizon XT912 Maxx running leaked JB and is rooted off Craigslist and was wondering how to get it activated on T-Mobile prepaid plan. I have a new sim from T-Mobile.

- Would I need to have the sim activated by T-Mobile first?
- Will this even work?...seems like there is conflicting info from the forums; most say it doesn't work while you guys are saying it works
- Does it have to be through Straight Talk?
- What settings should the Mobile Networks be on?
- Any changes needed to be done for APNs?

TIA

I wish some of the original people you quoted in your post would answer - I am following another thread that says it is still a "no -go", however the other thread has activity on it..

Any chance you are hitting a tower outside of the U.S. - The only people that I have seen report it working are people hitting non-U.S. towers - close to Mexico and Canada..

I live in upstate new york about an hour away from the border. I hit off the tower in Rochester NY. Could be my location. Used radio to switch somethings. My bionic worked the same way. I retired the razr about a week ago. Now I have the s3.

The message should say " This SIM card is from an unknown source!" and should be able to be dismissed and everything will work anyway.

There is no true SIM lock that requires a code based on the IMEI like a typical carrier locked GSM phone or previous VZW global capable phones have.

The ICS builds, once officially released, have global services enabled using the same string in the RF_BC_CONFIG_I NV Item that we have been using to enable GSM.

If you have a RAZR on 2.3.6 then you need to apply the NV edit to make it work.
If you flash to the latest leaked ICS build, it should all just work by default.

This only works for non US carriers for international GSM use.

There is still a separate lock on US GSM carriers that we need to find and disable if possible.

    Hope this answers your questions.
