I'm confused - what exactly is an unlocked bootloader? I've unlocked/rooted phones before. The S5 I just bought from a verizon store seems to have a bootloader I can get into and select an option to "install zip from sdcard" - which I presume if I installed a superuser APK via this method - wouldn't that provide root?
