followed above instructions to root, including renaming the APK files
i also installed safestrap, but then removed it using the command lines from this thread:
droidforums.net/forum/samsung-galaxy-s4-development/255770-remove-safestrap.html
although the last command line didn't really take because it said it was in use or busy or something (can't remember exact message)
when i reboot safestrap is gone but it still does all the updating stuff. as far as i can see the phone is working properly after starting up, even though that last command line code didn't take from the link above
it updates 1 to 96 or 98 or so, can't remember the exact number.
