Hello all,
I have a 1007 build Captivate that I was flashing with Odin one flash. The window seemed unresponsive for quite some time, and I didn't think the phone was doing anything (I'm used to using Odin 3 for my Galaxy S3 which is a very quick and responsive process).
I stupidly closed the window and tried to restart the phone. Now, the good news is my phone goes into Phone---/!\---Computer screen (Firmware upgrade fail ! Try using recovery mode) but no button combinations work (which, as I understand, is because my phone is a 1007 build?). I have tried all the methods here: http://samsungcaptivate.wikia.com/wiki/Putting_the_Phone_into_Download_Mode
The jig I built also does not work. It's made of a USB cable and I have measured (with a multimeter) and tried all combinations of resistance from 296K through to 302K. Each and every resistance combination WILL WORK on my S3. So, I know it is not a bad connection, or a poorly made jig.
Is there anything else I can do? ADB will not recognise the phone (plugging it in will give a USB device added sound) and displays this: *daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037 *
* daemon started successfully *
error: device not found
I'm at a loss. Did I brick my phone that badly, or is it because of the 1007 build?
Thanks for all your help.
