Hi all,

I just got a Galaxy S3 a few weeks ago and decided to keep my unlocked Cappy as my backup/beater phone.
However, I can seem to get my Cappy to recognize my new LTE micro SIM. I've tried positioning it many, many times. Keeps giving me some error along the lines of "the inserted SIM is not valid" or something. Even tried using a micro SIM adapter, which ended up breaking some contact pins in the SIM slot so I had to replace that.
The Captivate recognizes all of the regular sized SIMs I put in it though. I thought the contact points on the micro SIM were the same as on the regular sized ones; just smaller in size due to less plastic being used around the contacts.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

1) Micro sim is not regular sim
2) Cappy is not LTE compatible. You can't use a LTE sim in a non-LTE phone. Its a completely different SIM compared to 3-4G sims

The 3G/4G part is correct but if you get a holder/expander (IDK even know if they exist) to fill the extra space and it's a 3G card it should work, they are the same in contact points just less plastic for the micro sim...

This is what I thought, and I got a micro SIM adapter (pretty much a small tray that you put a micro SIM into and the tray fills in the shape of a regular sized SIM) but it was too tight of a fit and ended up breaking some pins in the SIM slot. After replacing that, I tried repositioning my micro SIM so that the contacts would contact the pins accordingly but no matter how much I tried, my phone wouldn't detect it.

Well, I also tried with a non-LTE micro SIM, but that was before I got clarification in a previous post that a micro SIM wasn't exactly like a regular SIM.
