Picked up a S5 off craigslist and of course a few days later it gets blacklisted. Anyway theres a "DEMO" mode on it and i froze it with titanium but for some reason the phone wont charge past 35%. is it the demo or because im using a micro USB charger? Also i havent flashed anything in so long i forgot the process. I got it rooted. Would flashing a custom rom remove that verizon crap and charge right? lastly im getting the IMEI repaired soon and will be using it with simple mobile. any reviews on simple moble as far as data goes?

just found myself in the same situation, after messing it for 4 hours I saw your post. Titanium did the work, but there is no permanent solution to it. A lot of post saying password 5444 takes off the demo mode, but ain't working for me. Anyways, Just wanna say thanks.
try flashing another rom and let us know lol.. if my s5 had demo mode it hasnt had it since weve had root and definitely never ran on my phone cuz ive never seen it before
well this post is pretty old i ended up selling the phone. anyway YES i did flash it to many different roms and for some weird reason it wouldnt charge past 35% no matter what i did. New battery, OEM charger everything. I think its a mode thats inside the hardware or something. Also read that the "demo" phones are the ones that are for displays at stores and made that way from factory idk. SO yes i gave up on it and sold it then bought another S5 Problem solved
Heh so will the guy who bought it be on here next week asking the same questions?
If VZW locked it down it's done. Means it's been reported lost or stolen and the actual MEID has been blacklisted.
