What version of odin should be use d for flashing factory image? 1.85?

This is real important so please no guesses. Using an I'm proper odin could Bork my device for good.

Anyways can someone who won't hi Jack my thread help me out. I used odin 3.07 last night to flash stock image. And everything went fine. Device passed and reset. But all my apps were still there? Isnt odin supposed to clear device completely?

When I used Odin to flash an image on another Samsung phone I had to manually wipe data & cache.
