[Q] Way to protect screen

Hi. I've just broken my screen for my skyrocket and while I'm waiting to get a replacement, I was wondering how I could prevent this event from happening again. Is there some way from protecting the lcd screen from cracking(digitizer was fine)?

Only way against drop protection is a otterbox defender type case. For protection against puncturing or pressure cracks from inside pocket is a thick screen protector, like zagg invisibleshield

Be more careful. These aren't the old flip phone, through across the room type deals. Phone have become mini glass computers. I hate carrying my phone cuz I get so paranoid
