Thanks to brd for the extra modules. I was able to get my usb to serial adapter to work with minicom on my xoom and communicated with my buffalo terastation. This feature is certain to be a hit with many xoom owners.

PS, solarnz helped too

I'd love to see USB Mass Storage return to being an option. Android File Transfer utility has been nothing but trouble for me, and that's been the biggest source of frustration for me.

What other serial devices would this work with?

I would like to be able to force the keyboard to open when I want. I like online crosswords and cannot complete them on the Xoom because it doesn't bring up the keyboard.

I must say that the newest Tiamat Xoom Rom, Moray 2.2.2 is as close to perfection as it's possible to get in Honeycomb. The extras, tweaks and fixes work together to make the Xoom a super device. I wonder what Ice Cream Sandwich will bring. I just feel that I haven't gotten close to fully exploring the capabilities of the Xoom, and there are some potentially exciting times ahead.

I would like future releases to require a user pass a test to obtain access to download and flash. I think one test exercise would require user submit a logcat to prove they can.

Which adapter? Is it plug and play or does it require commands?
This is a belkin f5d5050 and all that was required was to modprobe the pegasus module and make the node in /dev. Of course, this runs in the BT5 chroot.

That module supports many different devices, so read the podule's pages for a list of chipsets.
