[Q] What causes the reboot when going on Mass Storage?

Just that, what's the cause of this annoying problem that I cannot get rid of?

FusioN 5.4, SlimBean 4. I have had this problem for a lot of time, and nobody ever told me a real cause (nor a solution at all)..

Did you flash the otg modules, look it in the respective kernel forum.

Maybe u did not full wipe, and also kernel problem.

Apparently FusioN 5.4 doesn't have wifi or otg modules, so I don't know what to flash..

Yep I did full wipes because this problem has occured on few Jelly Bean ROMS I have tried. :/

Any more ideas? thanks.

USB OTG has nothing to do with this.

To OP: Does it happen on all ROMs or just these 2, which you named?

It happens only on the CM10 JB based ROMs, ICS and GB do work properly. And I just named one, Fusion is a kernel~

Weird, I did not have such issues myself.
Try with other kernel. If does not succeed, reinstall ROM.

also caused by the sd apps in the foreground and background and trying to close them to switch to mass storage mode causes reboots

I did use a task killer before going on mass storage, still happens..

I have this problem also!
When i turn on mass storage, my phone reboots.
I can turn mass storage on successfully after the reboot.
I am using besttt's Slim Bean 7 (a cm10.1 rom) with the latest kernel besttt provided.

Yeah, It's a common problem on Jelly Bean ROMs, but seems like, or nobody knows why this happens, or nobody wants to tell because of lazyness.. :l
