F*ck Quadrant's standard version. It doesn't give you detailed results. My Desire HD scores 3500 average at 1.65Ghz.Is it better than the Sensation and the Galaxy S?No.What's more, the qHD screen might make graphics a little slower because it packs 35% more pixels, which makes everything harder to process. If you want to compare,do it fair. And do it when you have two store-ready devices, not prototypes. :)

I'm a little concerned with those benchmarks to be honest. I think it's strange that the SGSII scores almost double as high as the Sensation on their stock ROMs. Which makes me believe either the Sensation handsets at the presentation weren't packed with the final production hardware, were underclocked or weren't yet polished.

I'll wait when the final testresults come in. SGSII has the better hardware, Sensation looks like a nicer handset all around, but if it lags like in all the hand-on vids it'll make this decision really hard for me.

Add as a sidenote that the SGSII will be way easier to root, where the Sensation will have a stupid locked bootloader probably. Makes the decision even more difficult. I definately want to chose my own ROMs in the future. Just putting up with the limitations and speed of the stock ROM is a no go for me.

I just wish Android had full GPU acceleration by now.

The knowyourmobile.com article states that the Sensation scored a 1,898 on a Quadrant benchmark. My MT4G also scored around 1,900 out of the box. If that's not proof that Quadrant results are meaningless, I don't know what is.

the score in quadrant mean nothing.its just piece of software show nothing to be honest.its not a proper benchmark.I had a score almost 3300 on my HD2.but its not mean the performance is better than sensattion

from what ive seen around the web the htc sensation benchmarks are pre production, unlike the GS2 which is in its final version. When they have finaly ironed out what they need to do so expect the final score for the sensation to rise

http://www.phonearena.com/news/Pre-...amsung-Galaxy-S-II-has-the-upper-hand_id18230

heres the same processor clock to 1.5 i cant imagen it being clocked down by .3 would make much difference

http://www.engadget.com/2011/04/02/qualcomms-1-5ghz-dual-core-msm8660-destroys-the-competition-in/

im confident the sensation has alot more to give. but im still worried about battery life

i've just bought Nexus S cos after I found the HTC locked bootloader:eek: on all new devices is no point to buy one for me ;)

Regardless of benchmark results, I would never pick Samsung over HTC. After owning the Vibrant, I will be extremely wary of Samsung mobile products.

Well,Quadrant isn't bad for benchmarking. You just can't trust the standard edition's final result.THAT number is meaningless. If you get Quadrant pro,you can see the results of each test independently(CPU,memory,IO,2D,3D).Where Quadrant is very flawed is its IO subtest. It can be easily tricked by many things and give astronomical(almost :p )numbers. All else is just fine. :)

That's good to know.

I was wondering, is it possible that Quadrant is doing a CPU score of only 1 core and the other core is not being leveraged in the test? Since the benchmark would have to be hitting the device with requests that could be broken into multiple processing threads for the 2nd cord to really do it's work.
