Ok, here is the situation:

I have just spent a month on travel with my rooted Atrix 4g 2.3.6 and lapdock, and am generally happy. I have attempted to unlock the bootloader but have run into the "OEM unlock not implimented" error, since I am still away, I really can't afford to brick my phone.

During this time I have been using pocket cloud pro to access a few windows machines and the debian server on my phone. What is annoying is that I can only view it in qHD and not full lapdock resolution. I have considered removing the debian dist, installing webtop2sd ,then installing a gui under webtop2sd. Finally I could load in the android sdk and get any flavor android I want at whatever resolution I want.

This of course is a lot of crap to go thru, and I expect it will be rather slow. I only use pocket cloud because it is so easy to find a pc behind multple routers and firewalls. Also, I can connect to my relatives laptops no matter where they are.

Anyone have a better solution?

Unlock the bootloader and load up the ics leak with the tablet mode webtop. Unfortunately it's still a bit buggy so you could wait until bugs are squashed and everything is a bit more polished or you could load up ubuntop or simpletop or another webtop mod. I am not sure there is a pocket cloud client for Linux, but you could set up vnc, nx or a remote desktop connection easily enough I imagine.

I am playing with webtop now. The real issue is that pocket cloud pro will find laptops anywhere as long as they are connected via wifi. This is REALLY useful.
