If I'm able to get a Verizon Gnote3 on launch day, how do I prevent VZW from sneaking in an OTA on my phone?

Don't let them touch it, don't them them accept anything on it and if they do then you tell them to give you a new unit. Mine is on pre-order for a 10/10 delivery so they won't be touching my precious. Also ignore and stop the app associated with OTA and look for root options, hopefully with other devices coming out a week earlier we can get root access right away.

Congratulations on your purchase!!! Don't forget we also have Hashcode and Dan Rosenburg in our corner should the bootloader prove to be too pesky. Safestrap and Loki are two very different and very powerful tools. I'm confident we'll be able to have custom ROMs on our devices relatively soon after release.

Remember, NEVER accept an OTA. Ever. Under any circumstance. The devs here will mod an OTA and give you what Samsung/Verizon patched without breaking previous work.

That's simple. It costs them money. People screw up their phone with a custom ROM or while trying to root the phone and then call customer service. Every call to customer service is costly. If I were in their position I'd do the same.

Just wondering could some one set up a dropbox link for flash... Cuz I'm sure it won't be preinstalled on the note3.. And what is the name of the stock browser that supports flash?

Lesbehonest, The N3 wont be unlocked...the S4 is still locked since the update and safestrap is a buggy workaround at best. Not knocking, I do aplreciate all of hashcodes work. The bottom line is Samsung went from one of the easiest devices to mod, to the most locked down device of all manufaturers in a blink of an eye. Dont believe me do some research on qualcom processors and blown q fuses.

Rosenberg,

and before posting that hes in your corner, have you talked with him at all? cuz last i knew he had no plans to work on stuff. being retired and all. just dont want people having the idea of he is working hard on something and it will come "soon" when in reality nothing is going on.

I'm not sure in what world posting private messages between you and I, or any dev and you is ok, its not. Especially when you post partial bits, quote them out of context and add things that were never said (ie that I am going to work on note3? wtf I just said i would buy one, I bought note2 as well great phone, never worked on it).

He probably should have talked me to me as well, because I never said I had any plans to work on the Note3, I just said I plan to buy one (and use it). I have no plans to work on it, and with this drama starting has guaranteed I won't be.

Also, Djrbliss has said nothing about working on the note 3.. If he has it is not to my knowledge.

He didn't screw anyone over, I had no plans to dev on the device in the first place

You guys make me happy :D Thanks for all your hard work! I can not wait, and donations will be on their way! I can't imagine no custom roms / root for this beautiful phone.

I LOVED safestrap on my Bionic!
