Anyone able to successfully use WhatsApp on an AOSP rom? I get an error that connection can't be established

But on super nexus I got it working once

I don't know if this is a fluke but I got whatsapp working on Xenon! However, I didn't do the advanced wipes I normally do. I just did a factory reset from Lifeless, installed the ROM and when I tried whatsapp it worked! I need to try this process again to see if it works or just a weird one time thing.

I guess it only works with full aosp no extra settings

So I tested sound the factory reset again from lifeless and flashed liquid smooth and SUCCESS!!!
