That dock for the Shield they have been showing off at game conferences seems pretty handy for playing emus on my TV!
I have a miniHDMI, I'm kinda just wondering when they are released so I will know if the price is worth it.Why dont you just use a mini/microHDMI to HDMI cable (forgotten whether the shield has micro or mini). Much cheaper than buying a dock.

im prolly gonna get the nyko case because it will most likely be alot cheaper then nvidia's. however i would recommend you be careful with any kind of charging kit or dock from nyko. Ive had nyko products mess up my batteries on other devices in the past. The Shield Dock will let you charge the Nvidia handheld while still providing access to a full-sized HDMI output for connection to a television. The dock gets power from the AC adaptor that comes packaged with Shield, and you can even use the attached display while the unit is charging. The Shield Dock will be available later this year.
When it comes to something like the Shield, protecting the device while not in use is extremely important. Nyko has provided a couple of cases to protect the handheld, including the soft Travel Case and the high-impact hard Shell Case. A travel bag will also be provided for stowing away any cables you may need. Both cases will be available this summer.
Nyko will also be releasing a multi-use Power Kit for Nvidia's Shield this summer. The kit includes an AC adapter, a car adapter, and an extra-long Micro USB cable for use when travelling or at home.
Pricing for Nyko's Shield accessories have yet to be.
