[Q] Where's the Serial Number

I'm trying to register my device and the Samsung page wants a serial number. It says, "Don't use the number on the box" but I can't find another serial number. There is no sticker on my device, and I can't find a number in settings.
Where'e the serial number on this beast?

I used the oneoff the box. if ypu look at theback of your device it's the last set of characters. you either need good vision or a magnifier t see it!

Easier way : go to settings--------more -------- about device ---------- status---------- You will find all needed data for your note including Serial #

I don't think so. On my device all is get is: Battery Status, Battery Level, IP Address, Wi-Fi MAC Address, Bluetooth address, Up time and Device Status (it says "Official"), but no serial number or IMEI.
On my Note 3 it's there, but not on the Note 10.1 2014
Seems like Samsung left it out of the 4.3 tablet build

Are you sure ? actually I`m still on the 2012 Note 10.1 , waiting for the 2014 edition to arrive, but my wife`s Note 2 with leaked stock 4.3 does have the whole data including the IMEI # & Serial # within " Status"

Yes, I'm sure. I was looking at my 2014 edition when I made the post. It's on the Note 3, but not the 10.1
Maybe they hid it somewhere else, but the first place I went to look was the status page under "about device"

it's no longer under the status menu of the gn8 or gn10.1 2014. if i had to make a guess it's because of the rewards. it was discovered that you can walk into a retail shop and register the display device and claim the perks. making the serial number a bit harder to get to may help decrease that.

besides, the SN on the box matches the sn on my device. unless yours got switched they should match up.

I guess that makes sense, but it doesn't make sense that Samsung would say that you can't use the number on the box when you go to register on their site.
Thanks for all the help from forum members. I did get it from the tiny, tiny, tiny print on the back. Used magnifying glass app and my phone to be able to see it.
