So I'm looking forward to get Cyanogenmod on my S4 (i9505). Well the question is which Version I should get: CM12, CM11 or CM10. According to Cyanogenmod, some CM10 Version is the actual release Version, but for me Android 4.3 is too old (running lollipop custom rom atm). I was browsing xda and I found these Versions:

1. Unofficial CM12.1 (Android: 5.1): http://goo.gl/itgzzV
It's an unofficial Version Optimized by some really popular Devs on xda.

2. Unofficial CM12: http://goo.gl/xK7x52
This one is an optimized CM12 of the same Devs with the CM12.1 project

3. Official CM12 nightlies: http://goo.gl/LtKtcG

4. Optimized CM12: http://goo.gl/PZ8AkO
This is an optimized version of CM12 in terms of speed

So these are just some CM12 Roms, which one should I get and why? If you have other suggestions pls list them, I will include them as well in this thread or make a list of all Cyanogenmod Versions for the i9505.
Thanks for reading through this thread and thanks for all answers :)

Hello mate,
I'm the developer of the first two and official maintainer of the third, as you can notice yourself. Firstly, I want to correct:

-except official CM12 nightlies, all the other three are unofficial: one is Optimized CM12.1, one Optimized CM12 and the last one is SaberMod CM12

My suggestion is to not install CM12.1 for now as daily driver since it's unstable (audio issues in calls) and I need time to fix.

The best thing would be to try out both three and choose to keep the one which suits more your needs

I have flashed only 2 roms on my device. GPE and the optimized builds by AntaresOne.
The optimzed builds are pretty fast and stable, but there are some bugs and issues.
On the latest CM12 optimized build, for instance, I can't move apps to SD. It says that I don't have enough space. And there are some issues with restoring apps using titanium backup.

I don't know how stable and bug-free the nightlies are, but I don't think they compare to the other CM12 in terms of speed and resource usage. There is a reason why they put "Optimzed" in the thread title :)
It depends mostly on what you want and what you're looking for in a rom.
