Why is my WiFi always on? Relevant screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/8ZI49P6.png

  1. WiFi is manually toggled off.
  2. WiFi scanning in Settings > Location > Advanced is turned off

I get that there are wake issues in my screenshot, but that's more likely to deal with Facebook than anything. Still doesn't explain why WiFi is always on.

Edit 31-JAN-2016: So I tried the following in my testing

  1. Charge phone to 100%
  2. Turn Off WiFi
  3. Check battery screen, phone seems to show WiFi on still
  4. Reboot
  5. Notice that WiFi is off on the battery screen.
  6. However maybe a minute later, it seems to "turn back on" (SEE SCREENSHOT)

I have the same problem too.
Same problem here.... Reboot doesn't help.
My Nexus 6p wifi always remains on. Battery is draining. Please help.
Do you guys by any chance have any of these apps installed? I'm suspecting it has something to do with these.

My testing so far is as follows:
  1. Turn off Wifi
  2. See that WiFi is still on in Battery Screen
  3. Greenify the list of apps above
  4. See that WiFI is still on in battery screen
  5. Reboot
  6. WiFi no longer shows as on

I'm going to do further testing to see. This is inconclusive so far.
