I don't know what "5g button" you're talking about. 5g is a button that appears in WiFi analyzer if the device supports dual band. Luckily now I can see that 5g button but I can't see my 5ghz network from my Linksys e2000 running ddwrt. Is anyone else a bit annoyed that it didn't have 802.11ac?I don't know what "5g button" you're talking about. I got mine connected to 5GHz on my Apple Airport Extreme router 6th gen. This worked only when I just took it out of the box and turned it on. There was an OTA update. I updated it. Still connected to 5GHz band after WiFi. I added the ports necessary for Remote Gamestream and rebooted my router. After that no more 5GHz. I think the OTA kills it.5g is a button that appears in WiFi analyzer if the device supports dual band.
