I just got a Galaxy Tab2 P5113. I had an HP touchpad before that which was rooted and dual boot with WebOS and Andrid. The wifi on that was extremely good around the house. Got an Asus Epad and that was also fine but it had other issues so I had to return it.Got the Galaxy Tab2 which looks and feels nicer than the Asus. But - the WIFI is just horrible. I can only get good signal if I am in the next room as the router. If I am on the 2nd floor (router is on 1st floor) I get very very poor signal with webpages crawling etc. Speed test has me at 0.5Mbps while any other device is at a minimum of 12-14 MBps. The Tab2 is on the stock firmware no tweaks done. I want to roll up my sleeves and see if installing any other ROM would improve the connection ability but wanted to ask around if that is even true. or if the hardware is just really bad to not make a difference. Any one noticed improvements in performance with the other ROMS?
