[Q] WIMAX After Rooting/CWM

Ok

So I have been searching for a thread already started but can not seem to find my answer....................

Coming from EVO4G with CM7.1 I had my WIMAX up and running(where there is WIMAX)..


Now I have pick up the Photon4G. All I am reading, unlocking the phone is bricking 4G if you install this ROM or unlock the bootloader.

MY QUESTION:

Why? like I said uptop WIMAX works fine with my EVO being root/unlocked.... what am I missing/do not get with having a unlock(everything) phone? why is unlocking the phone bricks the 4G/Wimax in this phone.... Does it not work b/c it is unlock/root? or b/c the ROM does not have the coding for the radio?????

Yay4Juggs has been working on this issue in his spare time. There is no promise that we will ever be unlocked with 4g. We need more devs for this device but sadly at the rate that phones have been released lately its hard to develop simultaneously for so many devices. Photon is a wonderful phone that is slowly falling through the cracks. Anyways consult the bounty thread for unlocked with 4g. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1286433
