I never understood wireless charging. Usually I'm using my phone while it charges(can't do that if the phone has to be laying flat on a charging pad)...... Unless I'm asleep, wireless charging is a gimmick to me.

Since it's made of metal it is harder to create a wireless charging base for it.
The spec sheet doesn't mention it and it didn't happen on the M7. If it was possible they'd mention it most likely.

Also wireless charging is a godsend. I have the Nexus 4 Wireless Charging Orb with my Nexus 5 and it's so much better to just drop it on the ord then to fumble with a cable and everything. Definitely great when you're mad tired, drunk, or just need a quick charge while you're at home for a couple minutes.

Wireless charging is particularly awesome in my car. I have a Qi Car dock. Just slide my phone in and it's charging. I can play music over bluetooth, so literally no wires. I think I can't get the M8 simply because it's missing this feature.

I have QI dock in car, kitchen, bedroom and near working pc, it's must have functions for flagship, I think....
Me too. I'm just not willing to throw away my investments in Qi, especially when I think it's great. I guess that leaves me with an LG G2 (Verizon one has Qi). Hate the build quality of the G2 though. I'd get an S5 (you can add Qi to it since you can take the battery cover off), but I hate the center physical home button.

I'd never use it since it takes so much longer to charge a phone.

From what I can tell my DNA does not charge slower and I think it is actually faster. Walk in and drop it on the charger as I walk by in the living room or on the one next to the bed. It would of been a nice if the M8 had that capability.
