Hi. So I plugged my note 10.1 into my USB on my desktop today and waited for it to connect only instead the screen went black and now I can not turn it on with holding power button' taking out spent, can't boot into download mode or recovery. Any ideas guys or just a coincidence in timing? Any thing else that can be done or tryed to get it to respond? Or just a toasted note you think? Thanks for any advice in advance

OK so I took the note 10.1 apart and reset by unplugging the battery. That worked but after trying to charge the tab it wouldn't charge or start up again so I had to take the battery loose again. Now I have had an issue where Google play will not connect, did a factory reset fixed that but 30 minutes later it wouldn't connect again. Another factory reset and now its running smooth but absolutely will not charge at all on 3 different factory OEM chargers. I'm leaving it plugged in overnight. If that doesn't work I Intend to flash a custom ROM and see if that helps. If still a no go I will order a charger ribbon from eBay and try that. Could also be a system board but if its that I'll just buy another tablet. unless someone has some further advice

Try blowing some pressurised air into the usb connector, might be a piece of dust or something shoting it out...
If not that I would still be looking at the connector as the culprit as it happened when you plugged in and doesn't want to charge....

Ok so after having tried everything under the sun including replacing the charging ribbon cable I broke down and waited for a 10.1 with a broken screen to become available on eBay. Let me tell you folks that was a long wait at anywhere near a reasonable price. Traded the system boards out and am back in action. So I haven't come up with any reason why the system board charging went cablooey as all the resistors and diodes I tested were fine but there you have it. If replacing your charger or charging ribbon cable doesn't bring your charging back this is what you have to look forward to. The replacement system board that I used cost me $116.00 USD. I hope this doesn't become a common issue for any other users as their units age.
