Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone has the same issues after installing the Windows Phone 7.8 updates

1. When I open the camera, the phone reboots. Sometimes I can take a couple photos, sometimes its as soon as the camera feed appears.

2. When I open up Maps, the phone reboots. Sometime its straight away, sometime its when i press to search.

3. Some apps no longer work and i get a "Black screen of death". Pressing windows button get me out of there

4. My battery meter sometimes shows a ? over an empty battery symbol. This always happens after the phone reboots but also happens at other times. After a while the battery shows the correct level. This happens whatever the battery state is.

If this is a common issue, has anyone found a solution?

Many Thanks

I have also just notices that it won't work with a flat battery when charging and reboots every 2 minutes! What has M$ done to my nice phone?

Additional : it will charge for a while, then after about 20 seconds, the led flashes green and i get the ? on the battery before the phone restarts.

WP 7.8 has made my phone usuable!

how did you update to 7.8? -through Zune? -if so, you could always go find your stock rom in the rom thread and reflash back to before you received the update. However this will wipe your device and you have to make sure which rom you had on there.

did my wife's titan via the force update method with zune. the 2nd update totalled the phone - white screen no boot :( had to flash the stock euro rom, (it's an unlocked euro phone), and start from scratch. second time all went smoothly. phone is now behaving perfectly. you might need to back up your photos and docs etc and do what i did. oh and first option is a factory reset i suppose...

A BSOD on a cell phone? I didn't know that was possible; you're referring to the official "stock" update from Microsoft and your carrier; yes?

Are all of you who are having problems within the United States? I'm curious as to whether you're using the PI39100 variant or the x310e variant and a couple of folks who have sub 2.x SPLs;

I agree, if you're not running HSPL and flashing via bootloader; then it boils down to what build number of 7.x you're using. I'm assuming you can't jump from 7720 to 8858 in one fall swoop; it must be incremental and what is unknown to us if you're using Zune, again from what build is on your phone before updating to 7.8.
