[Q] Xperia P sim card reader problem?

Hi Guys!
Yesterday out of no where my mobile started shutting down itself. Without sim card it works as normal, But with sim it sometimes works ok for short time (during that time it detects network and i can use network) and then shuts down, but mostly mobile shuts down immediately after booting (when searching for network). Along with that battery has also started malfunctioning, it charges to 100% or goes to 1% immediately sometime, but most of times it work ok? Mobile is not under warranty, so i need your help.

Are you using a cut sim card or did you got it as micro sim from telephone company? I had same issue and the reason was that the sim card was coming out of the sim-slot and causing the reboot. I put a small cello-tape(any kind of tape) on the top part of sim and then inserted it... now the sim is tighty fit inside the sim-slot and no more reboot issue.
