[Q] Xperia Tablet Z (Xperia Home) laucnher settings??

Is it even possible to edit the settings of the standard Xperia Home launcher for the tablet Z (wi-fi version)? I can't find any settings page for it. I'm particularly interested in removing the search bar shortcut in the upper left corner (google search/Google voice search) it's possible to do in other launchers but most are not optimized for the tablet. Any advice is greatly appreciated

There's no settings page. You could try disabling the Google Search app in Settings>Apps, or install Nova Launcher.
