[Q] Xperia Z and ZL screen protection

Is the screen protection same as Xperia go or its improved? Shatter proof and scratch resistant glass? Does IP5X cerifications n all contribute to that?... they say Xperia Z will survive an type of drop from hands from pocket height or shoulder height n all... will that be same for xperia ZL ?

Screen protection is supposed to be a lot better - people believe Z uses Dragontrail glass which is very good - although it hasn't been confirmed. IP certifications only state the phone is dust/water resistant, it has nothing to do with its resistance to fall damage. There are tests showing that Z really does survive a fall - thanks to tempered glass and glass fiber body - but we have to wait for real life tests. ZL should be the same, it uses the same glass i think.

Hope that the glass on back side of Z is also of same material... i will not want cracks on back side . Xperia go was pretty strong though ... any improvement over that is massive. Thing is i have not heard any such comments about Xperia ZL. I doubt they both use different materials for protective glass... Company and material is still secret

It's been confirmed that it uses the same glass on both front and back so no worries there
