Hi Everyone

Picked up a Xperia Z its on the C6603 firmware and I believe its locked to T-Mobile as when I try another sim its comes up as saying sim card not provisioned MM2, however when going to the system info screen using the dial pad and then sim lock all the numbers on the right for network etc are on 0 and there are no crosses in any of the boxes on the left, so was hoping maybe you could tell me if its unlocked or not and if so where I could get it unlocked thanks and sorry if this is posted elsewhere but couldn't find it.

thanks for reply

You could try flashing it so it's factory unlocked or buy a network key if you don't fancy losing warranty

Sent from my C6603 using xda premium
Hi and thanks for the reply, I have requested a unlock code through unlock direct site, which takes 24hrs but after 48hrs they have still messaged me saying they have not got a code yet.

Dont suppose you could send me a link to a easy flash tutorial please at the moments its on T-Mobile UK cheers again :)

Hi,

I'm new and have a sim-locked o2 xperia. I was wondering how i flash my phone to become sim unlocked, and if it is reverseable if i need to send the phone back for warranty?

Thanks in advance,

Just for people on here questioning how to sim unlock the mobile, you may want to do this quick check first as I had mine on contract from t-mobile UK and paid £20 for a unlock code that I have not received and by doing the following below, I found out it was already unlocked so check before you decide to either pay for a code or even flash the mobile.

Dial *#*#7378423#*#* on the keypad to enter the service info and then check (sim lock) (network) , if there is a "X" mark in the square box on the left then it is locked. The number to the extreme right indicates the number of tries left. For example if it is 5 , it means you have 5 tries left.

Also there is apparently a new firmware release from sony today with some suggesting it fixes the bug that killed a few mobiles recently.

Thanks for the advice.

I have already done this and i am network locked. Any chance you could keep me update as to whether you ever receive your code?

instead of a number like 5 tries left.... I got unlimeted .. Why ? however, ww. htccode.com solved my sim locked sony xperia z problem.

HTCCODE.com

I just got my DOCOMO Xperia Z (SO-02E) Unlocked using HTCCODE.com. The cost was $40 and it did take about a week to get my code but it worked as advertised, and the personnel on the companies live chat support were great to deal with.

If you are looking to unlock your Xperia Z and don't mind waiting a few days for your code I would recommend HTCCODE.com

Does that means if the square boxes is empty on all fields, it simply means its already unlocked or no restrictions?

YES - its UNLOCKED POP in ANOTHER SIM AND IT WILL WORK!

Yes my friend. ...

And by the way ... just got mine from 3 :( and it is locked unlike yours!

So any wiz could confirm (even though I am quite sure that it's not possible) ...If i put a stock Rom on the device (thus de-branding it) . Do I get the device sim unlocked as well ?

Hi, could you help, I'm getting my XZ unlocked by Three, I'm waiting for a unlock code from them...I have gone into this menu and I get 'Network' with an X in and 5 by it.....now when I put my Orange Sim into the phone I don't get an option to put the code in, any ideas? It just has a Red Cross where signal bars are normally.

Thanks
