I can't get 4G on my XT1060 (Verizon, unlocked bootloader) with the Rogers 4.4.4 stock ROM. I realize the Rogers rom is for the XT1058. After doing some research, I flashed over to the Rogers ROM because I use the phone on Telus while in Canada, and couldn't get LTE working properly on the Verizon 4.4.4 stock rom. After flashing the Rogers ROM, I flashed the appropriate radio for the XT1060 on 4.4.4.
I have the phone info app that allows me to set LTE/CDMA auto (PRL), but no luck in getting VZW LTE working yesterday when I was within a good solid LTE coverage area. I even tried "LTE only," which gave me no reception at all.
Am I going to have to flash back to a stock VZW rom? (sigh) Is there some tweak I can make to cause the phone to grab VZW LTE while running a non-VZW rom?
If not, what about making the VZW stock rom play nice with the Telus HSPA/LTE network (basicially the same as AT&T's network). I found the VZW stock 4.4.4 rom would often lose reception for minutes at a time, showing no bars at all. Turning LTE off fixed the problem. Telus has an excellent LTE network up here and I don't want to be limited to HSPA.
