I tried running lagfix (play store, runs TRIM command) on my rooted XTS (stock JB).

It appeared to run halfway (finished the data partition but not cache) then crash. All appeared well until a few hours later when my XTS spontaneously shut down.

Now I'm bootlooped on the sony logo. I cannot for the life of me even enter recovery so I can't ADB, used condi's tool,. reflash stock ROM etc.

Am I boned? ADB does not recognise the device and I can't get into recovery. I'm trying via power off, then vol up + power on, release power on, hold vol up. Also tried with vol down, and vol up+down.

My gut feelings say you've borked your tablet. :( Seriously, what did you expect would happen with installing something that has a FAQ filled with enough BRICK warnings to choke a great white shark?

I've flashed to hell and back a N1, Moto Atrix, HTC One X, Sony Xperia Z, SG Tab 7, 7.7, a few shanzai chinatabs, and this is the first brick I've created. I guess its also the first time I've created a sitation where I couldn't get back into recovery at least + this is by far the most locked down droid I've ever worked on, I guess without CWM/nandroid etc. I shouldn't have tried anything crazy.

Nevermind, it was 200USD second hand and I got six months out of it, been itching to upgrade to the new N7 anyway, chalk one up to lessons learnt.

EDIT: Surely there is a way to get to the flash and reformat/repartition and reinstall a stock ROM? Or would I need what I think is called a sony JTAG tool I've seen referred to a few times? Stupid proprietary sony vaio team

Does this app actually brick your device because the reviews on play store are suggesting it serves it's purpose. The reviews are completely positive can't figure what is the problem
